Anthracite – an oil stain of bluish-gray dark tint.
Rosewood – a water-based stain of dull red tint, like burnt umber.
Cherry – a water-based stain of reddish-orange tint.
Old wood – a water-based stain of yellow-green tint. Also called “Palo santo”
Natural birch color – no stain, just varnish applied.
Black wood – an oil-based stain of warm black tint. The bird will be painted red or yellow unless otherwise noted.
Oak – a water-based stain with brown tint.
American walnut – an oil-based stain with dark brown tint.
